XBOX ONE Controller Buttons

Since the XBOX ONE reveal event on Tuesday there have been questions about where the "START" and "BACK" buttons have gone and what these strange new buttons are.  Microsoft has broken the silence on what these buttons are called and what they do.

XBOX ONE Controller features "View" button on the center left and "Menu" button on the center right.

The button that has taken place of the "BACK" button is going to be known as the "VIEW" button.  This button will likely be used to swap between multi-tasked programs, and could also be used to open a map in game, or anything else a developer should program it to do.  The context of this button will depend greatly on what you are using at the time.

Next is the "MENU" button, which resides where the old "START" button used to.  This button will be largely contextual and can function to bring up menus, controls for functions you are using, etc.  This button will likely be programmable by devs as well to serve different functions in their games.

Now that these buttons have been explained (kind of) we have that much more knowledge of what the new XBOX holds in store for us.
