BattleBlock Theater is the newest offering from The Behemoth (creators of Castle Crashers and Alien Hominid). This game is a puzzle/platformer that can be a bit hectic at times. The game doesn't take itself too seriously and is a lot of fun. It can be a little frustrating at times due to the level designs, but this game was developed with a challenge in mind.
The art in the game is in true Behemoth style. There are tons of character customization, head shape, head style, and weapon/skill such as throw ice blocks that freeze people, sticky darts that enable you to jump on them to reach out of the way areas, and other things. If you have played Castle Crashers you get a custom head for use in the game.
In the sound department, this game is very fun. It has great sounds and catchy music that will make you smile. It also has an announcer that will say all kinds of fun things when you die like "You're doing it wrong, now do it right"! That makes dying a fun part of playing the game.
There is a "story mode" where you crash a ship on a prison cat island and spend your time there looking for your friends by completing levels of the prison. Most of the levels are laid out very nice and the amount of different obstacles are pretty varied. I find this game to be enjoyable in short to medium play times.

The game offers co-op and that can be a pretty fun romp. You can go through the story mode together or you can play custom levels made by other players and even from The Behemoth themselves.
The level editor is very simple and you can create custom content quite easily. The editor isn't quite as robust as what you would find in Little Big Planet, but it is really good. I've found myself wishing for a couple little features like more control over lasers and other traps, but overall I really like it. Making sadistic levels to slice and dice your friends is a pretty good time!
On a scale of 1 to 10 (1 being low and 10 being high) I would rate this game an overall 7.5.
