Among titles you should look for on the Vita are God of War Collection, Flower, and Final Fantasy X and X-II.
While I didn't find this event to be as spectacular as the MS event earlier today, it was well put together and did a great job of showing off the new console. Guess what? Thanks to a partnership with Sony Pictures you can watch TV on your PS4! Great!
What about the games? Here is a big list of what Sony touted just for the PS4;
- The Dark Sorcerer
- Transistor
- Don't Starve
- Secret Ponchos
- Oddworld: New & Tasty
- Galak-Z
- Octodad
- Beyond 2 Souls
- Gran Turismo 6
- The Order
- Killzone Shadow Fell
- Drive Club
- Infamous Second Son
- Knack
- Final Fantasy XV
- Kingdom Hearts 3
- Final Fantasy XIV (Online)
- Assassin's Creed 4
- NBA 2K14
- The Elder Scrolls Online
- Mad Max
- Destiny
At the end of the conference Sony said that there are no restrictions on used games, so you can expect that used games for the PS4 will work just like they do now for the PS3. They also announced that disc based games do not have to be connected to the internet to play. Of course this means single player experiences, so you gotta log on to play multiplayer. Sony also says that there will be no DRM of any kind for disc based games.
So in review Sony had a great press event tonight. They call for the release of the PS4 "holiday 2013". Preorder soon at retail!
Lower price, better specs, no game restrictions, and I get to choose when I want to be online...I've pretty much made my choice now, but I'm still waiting for the second gen version of both to see if anything changes in the M$ camp.
