Microsoft To Give Gold Members 2 Free Games A Month

At the Microsoft E3 press event, Microsoft announced that all gold members will be able to download 2 free games a month.  The first two games they showed off were Assassin's Creed 2 and Halo 3.  Microsoft makes this move to bring more value to their Xbox Live Gold Membership service.

PlayStation Network has been giving its PlayStation Plus members games for free for a while now, so it is not surprising that Microsoft follows this model.  We don't really expect to see any newer games pop up on the list of free games from Microsoft, but there should be a lot of really great titles.  This should be incentive for some people to play games they may not have played otherwise.  I think this is a good move for Microsoft and something they should have started implementing a long time ago.
