Deadpool Reveiw

Okay, so Deadpool is out and my feelings on it are mixed. It's a workable hack and slash game with nice visuals and solid voice acting. It's a little short and the difficulty ramps up to unbalanced levels later in the game that make it imperative to buy all the upgrades for weapons and the Merc with the Mouth as well.

Deadpool at it's core it a hilarious romp through the fictional island of Genosha that fans will recognize from comics. You blast and slice your way through foes with the occasional on rails shooting segments, puzzles and platforming sprinkled in. Deadpool controls well enough to solves said puzzles and I never had much trouble navigating platforming sections when I had to. Not to say there isn't some bad level design that leads to a little run around before finding the proper path. With this said the meager eight levels run long and have enough variety to keep from getting stale but not enough oomph to make it great.

The controls work well enough and I feel High Moon should have spent a little more time with combat and the flow of the players movements. Everything feels a little stiff and it lacks the polish expected in the genre. There is a hesitancy between moves and combos that leave you open for cheap shots and even cheaper deaths. This doesn't break the game though, when you take out a room of baddies without dying and pull off some sweet combos if leaves you feeling like a bad ass and ready for the next melee. Switching between weapons is done using the D-pad. Left is melee weapons, right swaps guns and down will cycle through thrown weapons. With three melee weapons, four different guns and four thrown weapons the D-pad approach only adds to the frustrations sometimes encountered with the controls. Also the environment is sometimes claustrophobic and leads to camera problems, but you can freely move the camera with the right stick so it's not too bad. The most mind boggling thing about this game is thus: Deadpool has a healing factor that allows him to live through anything. So he can be burned, bashed, zapped, powerbombed, stabbed and withstand a host of super powers during combat with out the player dying. But find yourself surrounded by four bad guys with rifles and you will be ripped to shreds in seconds. I is paramount to use your stun grenades when surrounded by these wimpy troops with just plan old guns.

The real ticket seller for Deadpool is the humor and gory visuals we would expect from the assassin's own game. The humor runs the gauntlet from crude, satire, parody, toilet and sexual. There is something funny for everyone. The game also takes shots at other games ranging from Call of Duty to Super Mario Brothers. Deadpool breaks the fourth wall to the point that the game is being made as you play it and he "changes" things in the script if he doesn't like it. I would recommend this game to any one just for the laughs and some of the crazy antics alone, like when you get to slap Wolverine senseless over and over. I was really surprised at the usage of the F-word through out the game. It's everywhere and this title earned every bit of it's mature rating. So parents, keep in mind when considering this for your child, I was a little taken aback when a thirteen year old on my friends list was playing the game.

Deadpool by all means is not a bad game. I liked it more than X-men Origins" Wolverine, but it's combat was not as fluid as that title. If High Moon keeps it up and polishes a hopeful sequel, we could have a great Deadpool game that doesn't fall short of the bar.

I give this a 7.75 out of 10. If you are a fan of Deadpool, X-men or just Marvel in general I recommend this title. If you love hack and slash games and are not a big fan, you may feel a little let down.

Game Review: Neverwinter MMORPG

This past week saw the official launch of the new Cryptic Studios MMORPG "Neverwinter".  As fans of Dungeons and Dragons know this game is set in the Neverwinter region of Toril.  Prefaced by RA Salvatore's 4 part book series of the same name, Neverwinter has a lot to live up to.  Lets talk!

First of all the game resides on PC and you need a fairly decent gaming rig to run it.  You can go to Perfect World's website to download the game client.  You will need to create an account first, but then you will be quickly up and running.  You must have an internet connection to play as this is an MMO akin to WoW.

The game is free to play and you can spend real money on "Zen" that you can use to buy things in the game.  You do not have to have Zen though, you can play through the game without ever spending any money.

The graphics and sound are very good for an MMO.  The music gets a little annoying but you can just turn it off in the settings.  There are a lot of really good ambient sounds to make the world come to life though!  Most NPCs have fully voiced parts, but there is a decent amount of reading to go around as well.

When you first start the game you can pick between Human, Dwarf, Half Orc, Elf, Half Elf, Halfling, Tiefling, and there is a "coming soon" option.  You can have up to 2 characters before having to buy an extra character slot (with Zen).  You can delete characters to free up one of your 2 slots though if you want to.

Once you have settled on what race to be, you move on to class.  Great Weapon Fighter, Guardian Fighter, Trickster Rogue, Devoted Cleric, and Control Wizard are your options as of now.  My first character is a Control Wizard because casters is how I roll these days.

I'm not going to go over every single thing but each race and class has its own unique abilities.  You will choose a deity and then set the aesthetics for your character.  Doing so is fun and you can put as little or as much time into creation as you'd like.

The story is yours to unfold.  We here at Big Ups will NEVER ruin a story for you.  Neverwinter touts a pretty amazing adventure for you though.  And it doesn't end there either.  When you hit level 15 with your character you get access to "The Foundry" where you can literally create your own maps, NPCs, stories, etc.  The software suite is truly wonderful and powerful, yet easy to use.  I am getting the hang of it right now!  The adventures could be limitless with such a powerful tool.  Yesterday I played a custom adventure and I have to say that it was a lot of fun and I really like how it asks you to rate the experience when you're done.  This should help the great content to rise to the top.

The battle system is quite good.  Cryptic decided to implement a more action RPG type combat system that is less like the old "target foe, watch battle" approach that other MMOs use.  The combat is satisfying and a lot of fun.  You have 2 "at will" attacks that you can use over and over with no cooldown.  For example my control wizard has "Magic Missile" and a frost beam that do decent damage and I can use them as much as I want.

Then as you level up you get access to some special attacks that have cooldowns to help limit their use as they are more powerful than the at will skills.  There are also what they call a "daily" skill that does MASSIVE damage when used.  Don't let the name fool you though, you can use this skill more than once a day.  There is a D20 in the center of your quickbar that fills up from engaging in combat.  Once it is full you can pop off your daily.  It doesn't really take all that long to recharge either.  Since it's not on a cooldown, you are rewarded with use of your daily by seeking out fights.

All the standard MMO fetch quests and things are here, but there are also some tutorial quests.  This is nice because you are actually rewarded with XP while you are learning the game systems.  Sometimes you must gather something, sometimes kill a number of things, etc.  The game does a great job of making these things fun though!

I've played the game for only a few days and I'm really enjoying it.  There is so much to do that I can't possibly cover it all here.  The game is free so download it and try it out!

Here are a list of things you can expect from the game!

  • Daily dungeons and quests
  • PVP
  • Story quests
  • PVE dungeons
  • Raids
  • Auction House
  • Mounts
  • Loot drops
  • Lots of action
  • Custom content

Neverwinter is a fun experience.  Get some friends into it and go on some epic adventures!  I give this game an 9/10 because it is a blast!

Ducktales Remastered Coming This Summer

I was surfing the internets today and found out that Capcom is remastering it's NES classic of Ducktales.  I was overjoyed with this news, just recently buying the first two seasons on DVD for my kids at Easter.  I remember this game fondly and it was a great platformer. I beat the games several times and it's nice to know I can again and again with updated graphics and sound.  This should be a nice blast from the past that the family can enjoy together.

This game will release this summer and sports the original cast from the show to reprise the rolls of Scrooge, Huey, Dewey and Louie as well as others.  This game will come out for all consoles and pc. I'll keep you posted.

Happy gaming my friends!

This Just In: Titan Fall May See Xbox 360 Release

I heard through the grapevine that developer Respawn Entertainment will hand off Titan Fall to a different developer to bring the Mech war to the current gen Xbox 360 console. So if you are looking forward to this title and are not going to get an Xbox One right away this may be awesome for you. Way more awesome than that kidney stone I passed.

I'll bring you more as I find out more.

Happy Gaming my Friends!

Game Review: The Last of Us

So I've spent some time with The Last of Us over the last few days and here is what you should expect from this new game from developer Naughty Dog.

The graphics are really good, far above average for a current gen console.  There is much attention to detail and the way the light casts shadows is pretty good.

The sound is also really great in this game.  There is a lot of focus on random dialogue throughout the game.  Joel labors when he climbs things, says "shit" when he bumps something or sees something he doesn't like, and there are tons of little additions here and there that make this game feel very real.

The music is average, I cannot hum even one bar now that I'm away from the game so I'd say it's pretty forgettable.  It does fit the game thematically, and is appropriately used to create mood.

There are a few things I find weird about this game.  Some of the animations (especially walking) seem strange as I am pointing the stick in a certain direction and Joel will move in the direction without facing all the way in that direction.  There is a little animation snapping (like during a fight if you go to attack Joel will slide into the appropriate position before the animation will play) but overall its not game breaking.

Speaking of fights, they are cinematic in delivery and really feel dynamic.  Based on where you are Joel will use the environment around him to his advantage.  He will ram his foes into walls and often times use a ledge, counter, or other object nearby to slam an enemies head into to finish them off.

Though I'm not all the way through the game, the story seems pretty ambiguous so far.  The opening of the game is pretty gripping and sets up the later bits well, but the delivery of the story leaves me wanting more at this point.

We here at Big Ups Gaming don't believe in ruining the story so most of our reviews will deal with the functions of the game rather than the story.  There is a lot of fun and tense moments to have with The Last of Us.  I find it to be a solid and entertaining game that most action adventure fans will enjoy.  I score this game an 8/10.

Opinion: Haters Gonna Hate

Has anyone noticed that the internet is pretty much funny cat pictures and a whole lot of hate?  Its just so cool to hate on everything all the time.  When it comes to video games, the hate runneth deep.  In this article we try to wrap our heads around why people feel the need to project so much hate onto games, developers and publishers, and most importantly, consoles.

To hate, or not to hate?  That is the question.

As far as games go one need look no further than the Call of Duty vs Halo hate war.  For some reason it is not at all acceptable to like both games.  If you like Halo, you MUST hate CoD, and vice versa.  Not only though must you hate it, but you must openly express it all the time, going as far as to berate others for liking the opposite of what you like.  Nothing is off limits either when you are attacking someone else for having different taste than you do.  Slurs of all styles come out with no remorse for the person or people that don't agree with you on the subject.

Game vs game hate leads to developer vs developer hate.  It's not good enough to just not like a game, you have to hate on the developer of said game also.  You can bust out the big guns for that as well.  It doesn't matter how you get it done, you just have to make sure that people understand that YOU ARE RIGHT AND THEY ARE WRONG

Of course that can lead us to console vs console hate.  You can't just like what you like, you have to make sure that you tell the whole world why they are stupid because they don't share your opinion.  "PS3 is better than XBOX because the online is free", or "XBOX is better than PS3 because our network didn't get hacked twice in one year", etc.  If you like PS3 better, that is fine!  You don't have to cram it down other peoples throat because they might not agree with you.  I don't understand where this feverish devotion comes from.

Fanboys (or "fanbois") are part of the problem.  In their eyes the product that they like can do no wrong, and anything the opposition does is never right.  Case in point; Sony fanboy defends PS4 requiring PS+ subscription even though he ragged on XBOX for years because you have to "pay to play".  Or  they say things like "oh Kinect is stupid, who wants to talk to their console", but believe you me, if the shoe was on the other foot and Sony had the "talk to your console" feature and Microsoft didn't, said fanboy would bash Microsoft into the ground and gloat about how awesome it is because you can "issue voice commands to your console".  It is pure hypocrisy.  Fanboys are bad for anything be it games, devs, or consoles.

We did a little article yesterday about Microsoft pulling its plans to leave used games fate to the developers and to ditch the always online requirement.  In theory this should have been met with positivity, but not from the haters!  Instead of it being celebrated that Microsoft listened to its fanbase, people are saying "XBOX 180" and "oh they should have done the right thing to begin with".  Microsoft had an idea and introduced it to the public.  They had some really cool ideas like loaning digital copies of games to your friends and family, playing the games in the console with no disc required, and trying to work with devs to make sure they profit off the sales of used games.  I don't think there is anything wrong with the people that make the games wanting to see a payment for their games being resold.  That isn't what this is about though.  This move should have been embraced but it wasn't.  It was just fuel for the hater fire.

Anyhow, in the end we try to figure out how to stop the hate.  Can't we just like what we like and let others like what they do?  Are we really so childish that we have to slander each other on a daily basis over what amounts to a hobby or pastime?  If you are the kind of person who's life is consumed by video games to the point that you literally don't know what to do if you can't play a game, now would be a good time to take a long look at your priorities.  Games are fun and I play a lot of them, but they are not my life.

In conclusion the only thing I can come up with is that there is just something about the human psyche that does not allow us to be satisfied with what we like.  We are never satisfied until we can push our beliefs on others.  If we're unable to make someone see our point and concede to it, we will push them out, chastise them, and attempt to make them feel bad about being different.  Its time to grow up people.  It's just video games.

Final Fantasy XV Coming To XBOX ONE

It has been announced that Final Fantasy XV (15, formerly Final Fantasy Versus XIII) will be coming to both the PS4 and the XBOX ONE.  This is great news and I expected this to be the case because FFXIII was put out on both the XBOX 360 and the PS3.

Final Fantasy XV
Now, will it see the light of day this console generation?  Remember, it was announced at nearly the beginning of the PS3 life cycle.

Stay tuned for more gaming news!  Thanks for reading!

XBOX ONE Sees Post E3 Changes

This is a quick but fairly interesting tidbit.  Thanks to Doug and Mark for bringing this to our attention.

It seems that Microsoft has been combing the internets and reading feedback from gamers about the XBOX ONE.  XBOX blog "XBOX WIRE" has a great article for you to read on it here.  Before you do though, see the bullets below for a quick look.

  • After a one time setup via internet the XBOX ONE will work offline.  This means no handshake with the internet every 24 hours.  Your XBOX ONE is just as offline as your XBOX 360.
  • Lending games works just like it does now.  Give your friend your copy and they can go play it in their XBOX ONE.  The adverse side to this is that discs will have to be in the console for the game to work, so no more gaming without the disc.
  • Used games will work just like they do now.  If you want to trade a game in, go for it.  If you want to play a used game, just buy one at a local retailer or from a friend and start gaming.
Let us know what you think in the comments section below.  Stay tuned to Big Ups Gaming for more breaking news like this.  Thanks for reading!

Deal Alert: Original Torchlight Free For 48 Hours

Going on now, you can download the original Torchlight game for free here.  Diablo fans would love Torchlight as it is the same kind of game.  It was a great adventure and for the next 48 hours you can pick it up for free.

Metal Gear V The Phantom Pain

The new MGS was revealed at E3 as part of the Microsoft Press conference.  Several minutes of gameplay were shown and the game is looking quite impressive.  Take a look at the E3 trailer running on XBOX ONE.

The game is going open world this time around with a day/night cycle, vehicles, and a whole bunch of sweet looking gameplay.

Company Of Heroes 2 Open Beta

The Company of Heroes 2 open beta is going on right now.  Less than one day left to try it out.  Free to download on Steam right now.

Free To Play MMORPG NEStalgia

The free to play NEStalgia MMORPG is a pretty neat experience.  It hearkens back to the 8 bit era with it's Dragon Warrior look and feel.  Don't let the art style fool you though, its an MMO through and through.

You play as one of 4 classes (8 if you subscribe) in a persistent online world filled with literally everything you'd expect from an MMO.  Party up with up to 3 people in a party and do turn based battle together against enemies.  There are loot drops too, even rare ones!  There are mini bosses, bosses, a cool story, and even raids.

There are some different subscription levels, but I recommend that if you like the game, just pony up the $25 to sub for life.  I'm playing the game currently and its super fun.

Check it out here.

Playstation Plus Required For Multiplayer Online Gaming

It seems as though the old argument "PSN is better than XBOX LIVE because it's free for multiplayer gaming" is about to change.  Multiplayer online gaming will REQUIRE a Playstation Plus subscription in the PS4 era.  There seems to be some leeway in this though because it looks like Free To Play games with multiplayer will not require a Plus membership.

My take on this, a company like Sony cannot hope to grow their services features without a steady stream of income, and charging for the service is what is going to supply that income.  XBOX LIVE has 10+ years of charging for their service and we've all seen what that money has grown that service into.  I expect the online landscape of Playstation to change massively as a result of this.

Let us know your thoughts about paid multiplayer on Playstation 4 in the comments section below.  Stay tuned to Big Ups Gaming for all your multiplayer gaming news.  Thanks for reading.

Minecraft For XBOX 360 & XBOX ONE

So today the internet world is in shock over the fact that the save file from your Minecraft game on the XBOX 360 won't transfer over to the XBOX ONE.  I myself am still trying to figure out why you want to play a game with 8bit Nintendo graphics on the XBOX 360 to begin with, let alone the XBOX ONE.  That isn't sarcasm, I literally don't get it.  Thoughts?

Kingdom Hearts 3 Coming To XBOX ONE

It was announced at E3 that SquareEnix's Kingdom Hearts 3 will be making its way onto the XBOX ONE.  This is great news for gamers!  More info on Kingdom Hearts 3 in the future!

Final Fantasy Versus XIII Becomes Final Fantasy XV

At E3 this year we learned that Final Fantasy Versus XIII is now being titled Final Fantasy XV (15) and will likely come out on the XBOX ONE and Playstation 4 systems.  More info as this develops!

Blog Restructure Coming

Being as we're only 2 dudes, we have decided that we are going to focus on console gaming.  That doesn't mean we will stop talking about PC or Tablet or anything like that, but we have found that since we are only 2 strong we are just not able to stay up on every single platform all the time.

Having said that, we're looking to add a third person to the blog that can cover all the Playstation 3 and Playstation 4 stuff.  We're looking for a person to uphold our mission of delivering gaming news without the sarcasm, cynicism, and overall negativity that most gaming journalists exhibit these days.  If you are a Playstation aficionado and want to write for a good up and coming blog, please send an email to demonj00@gmail.com and express your interest and we'll see where we can go from there.

So this restructure is going to make us at Big Ups Gaming mostly a console blog, specifically XBOX and Playstation focused.  Like I said before we will still have DEAL ALERTS for Steam and PC and all that, even Wii and Andriod as well.  We will have 4 new sections to choose from called "Deal Alerts" which will focus only on when and where you can get the deals, "General" which is where you will find anything from Wii to PC to Android, "XBOX" which will cater to both 360 and the XBOX ONE, and finally "Playstation" which will focus on PS3 and PS4.  We hope that this will make it easier for us to deliver quality articles and make it easier for you to find the console news that you want to read.

There is no timeframe on when you will see the changes.  It might be tonight, it might be next week, but its coming.

***EDIT***

This could take longer than expected because Blogger doesn't quite work like I thought it would.

XBOX LIVE Details: Service, Achievements, Matchmaking, Rep, & More!

Here is what to expect from the new and improved XBOX LIVE when the XBOX ONE launches.

It was mentioned a while back that there will be over 300,000 severs for XBOX LIVE, that's bigger than the entire internet in the 1990s!  This is how games will be able to take advantage of cloud processing.

Your gamerscore and gamertag will transfer over to the XBOX ONE, as well as your current gold membership.

Achievements will now be an evolving thing.  They will not be limited to what the dev puts in while making the game.  Now the rewards can be made on the fly and can be tailored to the experience.

The new rep system will still let you prefer or avoid, but the system will take into account who plays with you and who doesn't.  Gone will be the days of someone getting their whole friends list to give you bad rep just to grief you.  The system will look at the rep reports and ask itself, "did these gamers play together?, What actions did each person take in the game?", and things of that nature.  The rep system also knows how to identify things like team killing and other forms of grieving and will now automatically adjust your rep depending on how you are playing the games.  Sure, every once in awhile you accidentally kill a teammate.  The system knows that, but it also knows that you don't kill the same teammate over and over and over again.  It knows when its on purpose and will give you the benefit of the doubt when you accidently kill someone on your team.

On to matchmaking.  The new "Smartmatch" system is something that is built into the system itself so gone are the days of devs having to code their own matchmaking support.  At the Microsoft Day 2 E3 Wrapup, they talked to some of the XBOX LIVE crew about the system and they said "the dashboard is your matchmaking lobby" and talked about "asynchronous matchmaking".  What is asynchorous matchmaking?  Think of this, you are playing a single player game of Ryse: Son of Rome.  Then you decide to play a multiplayer match of Battlefield 4.  You simply hit the XBOX button, and tell the console to find you a match in BF4.  You can resume your game of Ryse and the system will notify you when a match for BF4 has been found.  Then it is just as simple as hitting the XBOX button and accepting the match.  The XBOX ONE will pause or save and minimize your game of Ryse, launch Battlefield 4, and place you in the match.  That's pretty awesome.

It seems like the service will keep its $60 a year price tag seeing as how they haven't give any indication to the contrary.  We will update you if this changes.

Leave your thoughts on the new XBOX LIVE experience in the comments section below.  Stay tuned to Big Ups Gaming for all your gaming news.  Thanks for reading!

World of Tanks

World of Tanks is a free to play vehicle combat game coming only to Xbox 360. The game looked great as I watched tanks rip across the battle field destroying all in their path. I can't wait for this free to play title and it can't come out soon enough! World of Tanks is an MMO with an emphasis on team building. Looks like a great game to destroy your pals in or team up to destroy any opposition!
Happy Gaming my friends!

Dead Rising 3

Dead Rising 3 looks to be a departure from the funny almost cartoon style we have enjoyed from the series. This is not a bad thing, the new more realistic look is nice. This time you are in an entire ravaged city, complete with burning building and piles of destroyed cars. Also you can make combo weapons on the fly without having to back track to weapon upgrade stations as featured in Dead Rising 2. This would seem to help keep the game a little faster paced and let you get your zombie genocide on faster. I saw the main character ripping through a horde of zombies with a sledgehammer attached to a circular saw.

Also you can call in air strikes to take out large groups of zombies. And the hordes do get massive, but with new light free running skills it should be no problem to at least try to stay a step ahead. I will post more as it develops.

Happy gaming my friends!

The Witcher 3

Microsoft talked about The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt at their press event yesterday.  I was able to drum up this trailer for you.  Enjoy this gameplay footage from CD Projekt Red.

The Witcher 3 boasts 100+ hours of gameplay with a "multi-region" open world to play in.  Sounds neat to me, this game is shaping up pretty good!

PS4 Release Info & Price

Sony revealed their plans for the PS4 with semi-ambiguity just as Microsoft did.  The console will launch "Holiday 2013" with a $399.99 price tag.  As far as I know you can preorder it now!

Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag

I have to preface this by saying it was rough watching Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed IV demo shit the bed at a worldwide press event.  It is forgivable though seeing as the game is still in development.  Battlefield 4 had a similar experience during the XBOX event, but not to the extent that AC4 did.

Anyway, the game looks impressive and really showcases the difference between the current gen and the new systems.  Watch this gameplay from E3!

Playstation Plus Gets Legit

Part of Sony's event covered the new PSN and PS+ services.  Playstation Plus is about to get better than ever.  Plus subscribers will enjoy discounts on games, a FREE COPY of Drive Club: PS+ Edition on DAY ONE, and down the road will get games like Don't Starve and Outlast for free!

Sony did not say that PS+ was required to play multiplayer online games, so we assume that it will remain free on the console, PS+ gives you perks as the bait to purchase it.

More on this as it comes in.

The Order

Okay, Santa Monica Studios (God of War) brings you a new game on the PS4 called "The Order".  Looks neat, kinda old meets new.  Enjoy this in-engine trailer.

Killzone Shadow Fell

Killzone Shadow Fell showed a quick gameplay segment.  Enjoy!  This will be a launch title for the PS4!

The Dark Sorcerer Tech Demo

They didn't let much go about this game, but here is the impressive and funny tech demo. Full tech demo launches tomorrow at E3. For now, have fun with this!

Destiny

Sony got the honors of the world gameplay reveal of Bungie's next FPS "Destiny".  It was absolutely mind blowing.  The graphics were sharp, the game ran well, and the experience seemed like what you would expect from Bungie and then some.

There isn't a whole lot I can say about this game that the video doesn't say better.  Watch it and feel free to discuss in the comments.  I'm so absolutely ready for this.

Opinion: Sony Playstation 4 Press Conference

So the Sony PS4 Press Conference is in the books.  They came out and talked a bit about the PS3 and Vita and their continuing support for both.  Some speculated that Sony may back off the Vita, but they doubled down on it.  No price cut announcement came for the Vita either, but they did call it a "companion device" to the PS4.

Among titles you should look for on the Vita are God of War Collection, Flower, and Final Fantasy X and X-II.

While I didn't find this event to be as spectacular as the MS event earlier today, it was well put together and did a great job of showing off the new console.  Guess what?  Thanks to a partnership with Sony Pictures you can watch TV on your PS4!  Great!

What about the games?  Here is a big list of what Sony touted just for the PS4;

  • The Dark Sorcerer
  • Transistor
  • Don't Starve
  • Secret Ponchos
  • Oddworld: New & Tasty
  • Galak-Z
  • Octodad
  • Beyond 2 Souls
  • Gran Turismo 6
  • The Order
  • Killzone Shadow Fell
  • Drive Club
  • Infamous Second Son
  • Knack
  • Final Fantasy XV
  • Kingdom Hearts 3
  • Final Fantasy XIV (Online)
  • Assassin's Creed 4
  • NBA 2K14
  • The Elder Scrolls Online
  • Mad Max
  • Destiny
That's a massive lineup, but not all of them will be launch titles.  So far for launch Killzone, Drive Club, and Knack are what you can expect.  Sony expects over 100 titles in the first year of PS4.

At the end of the conference Sony said that there are no restrictions on used games, so you can expect that used games for the PS4 will work just like they do now for the PS3.  They also announced that disc based games do not have to be connected to the internet to play.  Of course this means single player experiences, so you gotta log on to play multiplayer.  Sony also says that there will be no DRM of any kind for disc based games.

So in review Sony had a great press event tonight.  They call for the release of the PS4 "holiday 2013".  Preorder soon at retail!

PS4 Console

Here it is folks.  Drink it in!

Sony Playstation 4, Controller, and Playstation Eye Camera

Sunset Overdrive

Insomniac Games came out at the E3 debut and showed us a delightfully mad shooter called Sunset Overdrive. Immediatley I was reminded of Crack Down 2 by the over all look of the game, but the similarity stopped there. Mixing third person shooting with crazy free running skills to make up the game play. The art style is cartoonish, but very nice indeed. I look forward to this title.

I promise to bring more details as they come.

Happy gaming my friends!

Killer Instinct

The time is now to be excited. I want to play this so bad. A new Killer Instinct. It's been far too long since the last time I heard C C C C Combo Breaker. And it's about darn time if you ask me. So far the trailer has shown Jago, SaberWolf and Glacius. Here's to hoping for Fulgor and all the others to return to combat.

During the demo at E3 two people faced off in this title. It showed of the nice art style as well as the lightning fast combat. I saw huge combos from Jago that absolutely decimated his opponent. Not many details were mentions for this game but I'm sure it will be a launch title for the Xbox One.

One of the cool features of this game is the ability to record your match through the game DVR and upload the video to brag with friends. Going a step farther Microsoft has partnered with Twitch to allow players to upload a match in progress to make a live event of your battle. This would be a nice way to maybe scout some competition or watch while waiting for matchmaking.

I'm excited about the rebirth of one of my favorite fighters. Stay tuned for more info as it develops.

Happy gaming my friends!

Titanfall

From the old Infinity Ward founder Vincent Zampella and his new studio Respawn, comes a game that could rival Call of Duty for the top spot of the FPS genre.  My jaw was on the floor during this reveal.  Watch this video!

This just looks so awesome.  I cannot wait for this title!  As always, more info soon!

Battlefield 4

DICE showed off Battlefield 4 today.  The segment they showed was a mission that was at sea, on an aircraft carrier.  There was plenty of Battlefield campaign action so fans of that will be pleased.  The demo got off to a wonky start but that is somewhat to be expected from a game still in development.

The visuals and sound were wonderful as usual, I really felt the churn of the sea towards the end.  Bravo DICE, sorry it blew up on you during the event though.

Get stoked Battlefield fans.  This game looks like it rocks.  I was hoping for multiplayer details, but they remained pretty hush hush on that.  With the power of the XBOX ONE and PS4, hopefully we'll get full 64 player matches.  More info soon!

***EDIT***

DICE announced that the first DLC pack would be coming out first on XBOX ONE (sorry PS4 fans, you have to wait).

XBOX ONE Launch Titles

Here is what we know so far, check back as we add more games to this list as we find out what to expect on the day the XBOX ONE launches.

  • Forza 5
  • Ryse: Son of Rome

Microsoft To Give Gold Members 2 Free Games A Month

At the Microsoft E3 press event, Microsoft announced that all gold members will be able to download 2 free games a month.  The first two games they showed off were Assassin's Creed 2 and Halo 3.  Microsoft makes this move to bring more value to their Xbox Live Gold Membership service.

PlayStation Network has been giving its PlayStation Plus members games for free for a while now, so it is not surprising that Microsoft follows this model.  We don't really expect to see any newer games pop up on the list of free games from Microsoft, but there should be a lot of really great titles.  This should be incentive for some people to play games they may not have played otherwise.  I think this is a good move for Microsoft and something they should have started implementing a long time ago.

Project Spark

I have to say that of all the things revealed at the XBOX press event, this game is the most impressive by far for so many reasons.  Little Big Planet was always a game I wanted to play, but since I don't have a PS3 I haven't really gotten to play it.  The new game "Project Spark" has made me forget all about LBP and I am so excited for this game it is not even funny.

If anyone played the indie game "Kodu" on XBOX, this game will look a bit familiar to you.  The idea is that you can make your own game, but the way it unfolds as you create it is a thing of dreams.  I have never in my life seen anything this cool.  Just watch this video!

We will be doing some articles on the games themselves soon, but these are introductions to some of the great stuff coming your way soon!

Halo (XBOX ONE)

343i showed a cinimatic trailer for what I assume is Halo 5 today at E3.  They simply called the game "Halo", so maybe the numbering system for the series is going by the wayside.  The trailer starts with a desert scene and a cloaked figure walking around.  A large enemy pops out of the sand and Master Chief reveals himself.  Trailer below!  More info soon!

***EDIT***

I forgot to add that 343i promises Halo running at 60fps on the XBOX ONE.

Forza 5

The details that MS dropped on Forza 5 were simply amazing.  Not to mention they had on stage a Mclaren P1, one of only 2 in the world.

Maclaren

Lets talk about the game!  Every aspect of this looks like a dream come true.  From real time reflections (finally) to the glare off of the pavement and water, this game is all about the details.  Even the small ones!  Turn 10 boasts that you will see attention to the slightest detal, from the wearing of brake calipers, to the road wear of tracks.

Most impressive at the show was "Drivatar", the new cloud powered tech that promises to end AI as we know it.  Drivatar will learn how you play, learn how you corner, learn how you make passes, learn when you get aggressive and when you play it safe.  This system learns what makes you unique as a racer/driver.

But why?

When you turn off Forza, you keep racing.  Drivatar continues to enter events and drives your car just like you do.  Next time you log into the game you can see how your Drivatar did in races, see what they won for you, and know that even when you aren't able to play you are still there racing.

This means that if I log on and jump into a race, I might be racing against a friend of mine who is not even logged on!  So no more predictable AI, I'm racing against real people, all the time!

Not much more was really revealed at the event.  Turn 10 showed a lot of footage of the game running and spent most of their time talking about Drivatar.  More news on this amazing title as it develops.

Let us know what you think of Forza 5 and Drivatar in the comments section below.  Stay tuned to Big Ups Gaming for tons more E3 coverage.  Thanks for reading!

Dark Souls 2

Dark Souls 2 was shown in action at the MS E3 press event.  The game looks spot on what you'd expect.  This will launch in 2014 for the XBOX 360.

The game showcased massive monsters, wide open areas, and lots of cool action.  Prepare to die all over again in 2014!   Screenshots when we get them.

XBOX ONE Release Info and Price

While MS didn't drop an exact day, the XBOX ONE will launch in the USA in November of this year at a $499.99 price point.  Expect to be able to preorder at your local retailer soon.

New XBOX 360 Console Available Now

Microsoft announced a new XBOX 360 console that is a redesign to fit more with the aesthetic of the XBOX ONE.  We assume that there is really nothing new to report on hardware wise, and MS didn't clarify on how big the HDD is in the unit.  The new version of the console is available at retail starting today.  If anyone is in the market for a new 360, have at it!

Opinion: Microsoft Press Briefing

I'm fresh off the Microsoft press briefing and I have to say that I am blown away.  Going into it I was unsure how it was going to play out, but Don Mattrick and friends brought their A game.  They showed game after game and all of it was impressive.  The words "TV", we hardly mentioned at all, in fact they pretty much only mentioned TV when they reiterated the Halo TV series, and the Quantum Break TV show that changes based on your actions in the game.

Microsoft came with a fully loaded plan and executed it brilliantly.  It really was all about the games.  They started off with a segment devoted to the XBOX 360, announcing games and even a new version of the console.

Then it was onto exclusive XBOX ONE titles, they said that they were announcing 13 exclusives but I only counted 11.  Here is what I have.

  • Ryse: Son of Rome
  • Killer Instinct
  • Sunset Overdrive
  • Forza 5
  • Quantum Break
  • D4
  • Project Spark
  • Crimson Dragon
  • Dead Rising 3
  • Halo (Halo 5)
  • Titanfall
Both Daryll and I will be doing pieces on all these games in the very near future so stay tuned for that.

I was totally in awe of the things they have in store for us, and some of the features of the games are so amazing I can't wait to do articles on them.

Let us know what you thought of the Microsoft E3 press briefing in the comments section below.  More E3 coverage is inbound.  Thanks for reading!

State of Decay May Get Online CO-OP, Title Update 1 Inbound

Apparently Undead Labs has said if State of Decay "sold well" (which is absolutely has, selling more than 250,000 copies in just 48 hours) they would consider implementing online co-op.  Call me excited about this possibility, and we'll bring you more news as always when we can!

Also, title update 1 is currently in certification so we could see it as early as next week.  We'll share the date when we get it.

Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below and make sure to register on the UNDEAD LABS FORUM to keep in touch with the devs of this great game!  Stay tuned to Big Ups Gaming for all your gaming news.  Thanks for reading!

***EDIT***

Just to clear up any confusion, CO-OP is not coming with Title Update 1.  That is all.

Playstation 4 To Be Revealed This Monday

Sony will lift the veil completely on the PS4 Monday at E3.  We'll see the box and probably get a very good idea as what to expect out of it at launch.  Stay tuned for coverage this week.

Microsoft Outlines Used Games and Always Online Policies, Addresses Kinect Concerns

So it's been up in the air for a couple weeks but Microsoft has finally let the cat out of the bag on the AO and used games fronts.

Always Online:  The XBOX ONE MUST be able to connect to the internet at least once a day or it will not be able to play your games.  We had suspected that Microsoft would adopt an AO policy for this generation of hardware so we're not surprised.  Many people are outraged, no surprise there.

Used Games/Lending Games:  All XBOX ONE titles will be available as physical media and digital downloads on release day.  This means you can either go to your local retailer and pick up a copy, or download it directly from your console.  Either way, you own a digital copy of the game.  Once you install a game from disc, you no longer need to have the disc.  Any game you own you can play on ANY XBOX ONE console at any time (provided it is connect to the internet).  All your games will have a copy in cloud storage as well.

Also, anyone in your home from any profile has full access to any games you have bought.  That means that if you buy Halo 5 for instance, your brother, sister, roommate, etc can play the game without buying it on your console.

Microsoft also says that you can pick up to 10 people that don't live with you to share your games with, but instead of checking in once every 24 hours, your friends console must access the internet every hour.  There is also a stipulation that you must have been friends with a person for at least 30 days before you can lend them games.  And then even if you lend it to all 10 people, only one other person than you can play it simultaneously.  I know that sounds complicated, but you can't just loan your game to 10 people and all play at once.  Just think if you wanted to play Halo 5 with your brother you can just loan him the game and he can jump right in with you!  This works with any game you have shared in your library!

You will also be able to gift games to your friends, but this is on a permanent basis.  Once you gift a game to someone you can't get a take-backsie.  Steam people are already familiar with this system.  There is a catch to some of this though and I want to be clear that I'm not sure what all this pertains to, but it will be left up to the developers to decide whether to include some of the features.  So that means it may be up to the dev if you can loan out the game, or gift the game, but we'll clarify on that when we know for sure.  We do know that some of that support will be left to the devs.

It is said that it will be up to the publishers (not Microsoft, unless they just so happen to be the publisher in a certain case) whether or not used games have a fee associated with them.  Microsoft says that they are designing the XBOX ONE to work with any game disc and the publishers of the games call the shots with what happens on the resale front.  It is said that publishers will individually work with resellers on what games can and can't be resold and at what price.  We'll see how this develops.

Games will also be playable before while downloading.  So now you don't have to wait for that 30GB download to complete before you can play.  Sure, you'll have to wait for the minimum download before you can start playing (which I expect may be different for each game), which will be great because no one wants to get a download going right at midnight and have to wait 6 hours for the download to complete before playing.  Hopefully it'll be only about 3GB and you're rolling!  I am hoping for digital preloads like on Steam where if you preorder the digital copy it will allow you to download the game the day before it comes out, and then unlocks at midnight.  Here's to hoping!

Kinect:  While you do have to have the Kinect physically hooked to the system, you can regulate it via the system settings.  If you want Kinect to be able to power your system on by voice (which Microsoft says when the system is "off" the only thing the Kinect can recognize in that state is the phrase "XBOX ON"), or you can opt to turn it off altogether in the settings.  It is said that you can turn the camera and/or mic off also at any time.  Hopefully this eases the mind of some people that are paranoid about Kinect watching them all the time.  Microsoft also says they will be up front about what information Kinect collects and how it will be used.  More info on Kinect as we get it.

So there you have it.  Microsoft has lifted the veil and I'm sure that it will be met with a fair share of flame.  None of this is a shock to me, and now that I know I can get digital copies on day one, I might not be buying any game via retailer in the future.

Game Changers: Halo

Halo.  The word is known far and wide.  Lets take a look at how this series has changed gaming forever, multiple times.

Halo: Combat Evolved (CE) was a launch title for the original XBOX system.  Originally planned as an RTS style game for the Mac, Halo CE saw platform changes, genre changes, and all kinds of other changes from concept to completion.  How exactly did this happy mistake change gaming?  Lets see!

First off, the opening sequence of the single player campaign was ridiculous!  Up to that point I had never quite seen anything like it in a game.  The whole story was great and delivered in a way that was fresh for the time.

Local multiplayer is really what the allure of Halo CE was though.  It was pretty much the first console game to make gamers pack up their XBOX, TV, and go to a friends house to play.  You could host 16 player matches with a switch and 4 XBOX consoles and 4 TVs.  My friends and I did this all the time, often times doing a tourney that resulted in the winner getting a bottle of liquor.  Good times, pizza, alcohol, trash talk, and high fives were the results of these get togethers.  I really miss those days.  With a handful of game modes to choose from, a Halo CE lan party could easily go until the break of dawn.

The game of the series that REALLY changed how we play is Halo 2.  There was a time when Bungie was unsure if they were going to be able to deliver Halo 2 at all.  But due to the commitment of Microsoft, the game was released.  There was a lot of controversy surrounding the gaming with gamers claiming that the campaign was incomplete due to the fact that it ended abruptly.  Lets face it though, the campaign is not the primary reason for buying a Halo title.

Halo 2 was the first game in the series to offer online multiplayer.  There were many players (myself included) that logged THOUSANDS of online games in Halo 2.  The game also was among the first console shooters to offer a 1-50 multiplayer level system.  At a glance, you knew who you were up against, and how good yourself and other players were.  Getting to level 50 was a huge deal to most players, some even paying other players to level their account up to that coveted 50.

I never understood that thought process behind that because I was a level 35 in Halo 2 and I would often get matched with people ranked between 35 and 50.  I would get crushed a lot, so I actually didn't have as much fun because the way that the ranks were divided up/  I was basically at the bottom echelon of great players resulting in me never standing a chance against the opposition.  This was further frustrating when some of my friends that weren't as high a level as I was got together to play.  The matchmaking always seemed to match us with people based on my skill rather than taking the skill of the whole team into account.

Lucky for us we could play online in custom games.  I think the whole last year of the life of Halo 2 was spent by my friends and I in custom games.  One of our favorite modes was a FFA variant with random weapons.  Every time you respawned you had a random 2 weapons.  We had many laughs because of this mode, which we ultimately dubbed "Shite".  We also had a team version which we called, you guessed it, "Team Shite".  Same rules but with teams instead of FFA.

All of the Halo games that have released (minus ODST) followed this formula for online multiplayer.  There is some argument as to which in the series has been the best so far, often times resulting in flame wars (my personal pick is Halo 4 gameplay wise, but Halo 2 will be my all time favorite because of the many many many hours my friends and I shared in it).

Bungie raised the bar over and over again on consoles by delivering fantastic stories, gameplay, and graphics.  Halo has always been on the cutting edge of graphics.

Another thing that I always appreciated about the Halo series is Bungie (and now 343i) commitment to keeping the game free of cheaters.  They developed a system (dubbed the "BanHammer") that could detect players that were cheating at the game with mods and other means of cheating (remember "standby"?).

Many games have copied Halo in certain aspects.  There are currently games out there that are more popular than Halo, and that is fine because things change, things evolve.  Halo still to this day (12 years later) is my shooter of choice.  We do have to say thanks to Halo because without their innovation in the genre we may not have quite the quality of shooters we have today.

The New Voice of Snake

So the news is out.  David Hayter really won't be returning as the voice of Solid Snake.  This time around he will be voiced by actor Kiefer Sutherland.  Not sure if Kojima is just looking for star power or what...

This Just In: State Of Decay Has Massive Opening Week

Game Review: State of Decay

State of Decay is an open world zombie action game that plays a bit like Grand Theft Auto.  The unfortunate thing is that it plays like older GTA so the controls can be a bit wonky at times, and the game is not without its bugs, but nothing that really breaks the game.

The game starts off with you and your buddy being attacked by zombies.  After finishing them off, you are tasked with heading to the first "safe house", which amounts to a camping ranger station that has a handful of people in it.  Without ruining the beginning of the game for you lets just say that you join up with a group and start doing some missions.

The mission structure is a bit odd at first.  With no real introduction you kind of stumble on to the fact that this game is REALLY open world.  You have a journal full of things that you can go do and its pretty much up to you to decide when to do them.  After a little bit some of the people that are around the safehouse will start recommending things to do and the map will display some objectives for you.

One of the early missions is to go to a cellphone tower and climb to the top.  Once there you enter a viewpoint mode where you can freely look around and discover the world around you.  This lends itself to the viewpoints in Assassin's Creed except you don't just hit the button when you get up there, you actually have to look around at question marks keeping the sight on them for a short time until the information about that specific area is revealed.  This seems like it might be boring but it is actually a good change of pace from the journey to the tower in the first place.

There are a variety of different missions to do as well.  There are always supplies needed, so you can just head house to house and search them for goods (food, medicine, wood, fuel, etc).  This is done by walking up to a flashing item (refrigerator, chest of drawers, briefcase, etc) and holding down the Y button until the meter fills up.  The meter fills pretty slowly so you must be patient.  You can speed up the search by holding the LB button, but this will make noise and alert nearby zombies.

Other missions having you clearing out infested houses which appear red and bloodstained on your map.  There are usually quite a few zombies in these houses along with some special zombies like screamers, swat zombies, armored zombies, etc.  There are many other types of missions, but those are for you to find out, and many have to do with the story.

Another neat aspect of this game is that it is imperative to be quiet.  This is very much a game of patience.  The more noise you make, the more trouble can come your way.  Sneaking around on foot is preferred to driving around in vehicles because it makes more noise to drive.  The driving is also pretty sub par, but there are nice aspects like being able to open the door to bash a zombie while cruising down the street.

When you see zombies in this game, you will learn to become worried very quickly.  Often times they come out of nowhere and it is almost impossible to have an encounter with one zombie without others nearby noticing.  One or 2 zombies isn't enough to have you on edge, but 3 or more (and there are roaming hordes of them) will have you panicking real quick.

By themselves each zombie is fairly easy to kill, but in a pack they can kill you with haste.  This is not like Dead Rising where you can just march into a thousand zombies and just start wreaking havoc.  You will learn to run away, and better yet, to sneak.

While sneaking if you walk into a bush you become hidden.  This is useful when trying to sneak up on a zombie for a brutal stealth kill, or when you are waiting for a horde to saunter by.

This brings us to the combat.  The hand to hand combat responds the way you imagine it would, and is actually implemented pretty well.  It feels visceral and raw and the way the characters move makes you really feel that every fight is a fight for your life.  The game does a very good job of making you feel desperate at all times.

There are plenty of guns as well, but the gunplay is a little off, there is no auto aim like in the GTA games, and there is no aim assist at all (that I've seen yet, but we'll see), making for some frustrating times.  You can level up each character's gun skill, but I haven't done that enough to see what the benefits are.

State of Decay has a full day/night cycle, and believe me, the first time it gets dark you feel like you don't want to leave the safehouse.  Sneaking around seems a bit easier at night, but the trade off is that sometimes you can't see a zombie until its right up on you.  You have access to a flashlight, but I find that it can tend to be a beacon of death, so I only use it when indoors when there are no zombies around.

The "home base" or safehouse is a customizable area in which your survivors live.  There are multiple safehouses in the game, but your crew must move out of one if it wants to use another one.  Outposts are another cool feature.  While not a decked out as the safehouse, you can resupply and hide out in an outpost.  You can have up to 4 outposts at a time.  To touch on the customization for the safehouse (also note that outposts cannot be upgraded), once you have enough resources you can build extra sleeping rooms, workshops, medical tents, and other valuable areas that can give you certain perks.  For instance, if you have enough beds for all your survivors, you will all have more stamina (which is used for sprinting, attacking, climbing, etc).

At the safehouse you will get to know your fellow survivors.  Once you become friends with a survivor, you may play as them whenever you want to (provided they aren't already on an NPC mission).  All the survivors have different personalities, different strengths and weaknesses, and different perks (good with guns, athletic, etc).  The game doesn't seem to have a strength of making you care about your survivors, but maybe that will develop more (I'm only a few hours into the game).

When a survivor dies, that is it for them.  They are gone forever and will not come back.  This adds to the tension whenever you are out and about, especially so when you are quite far from the safehouse.

There is a currency system in place, but it isn't money, it is called "influence".  In order to get access to a bigger share of the resources such as weapons, medicine, ammo, and other things, you must increase your influence by going on runs to acquire things like weapons, medicine, and various other resources.  Think of it as "the more you contribute, the more you can use".

This game is single player only, which is a shame because this would have made for one hell of a great co op game.  This game BEGS to be played with your friends.  The NPCs do a decent job of helping you on runs and stuff, but man it would be awesome to have some buddies watching your back.  Undead Labs really missed the mark by not including a co op feature, but don't let that keep you from getting the game.

The sound is pretty fitting and some of the music is actually really good.  The visuals aren't bad but I have seen better.  There are a few bugs here and there though.  I encountered a bug when I ran into some army guys giving civilians a hard time.  They had the 2 civilians on their knees and they happened to be floating in the air above the heads of the army guys.  Outside of the occasionally wonky camera (going from indoors to outdoors and vice versa), and the sub par driving controls, this game is really great.  I have to give it an 8/10 because it is just so damned well thought out.

The game is available on XBOX LIVE Marketplace for 1600 points ($20).  I think this is great because they really could have slapped this in a box and charged $60 for it.

Quick Reveiw: Shoot Many Robots

Shoot Many Robots is a side scrolling shooter that harkens back to the days of Metal Slug and Gun Star Heroes. In this game you will shoot, over and over again, many robots. Going from level to level in your RV and swapping out weapons and power ups to rain death upon the endless hordes of mindless killing machines gets a little mindless. Unless you spend lots of bolts (currency) to customize your weapon load outs and various articles of clothing to fit your play style. You can unlock everything from shotguns to rockets launchers. All the guns come with fun names and humorous descriptions. Also the guns will upgrade to models that will pierce armor or retain better accuracy.

Guns come in two forms in Shoot Many Robots. You have a standard fire arm that you carry through the entirety of the level with out ammo limits. You will also have a stronger weapon with a fixed ammo amount but killing robots will drop replenishment from time to time. So blast away and Shoot Many Robots to keep the fun going.

Destroying robots will drop coupons for new pieces of gear as well as guns. Gear falls under three categories: Hats, backpacks and pants. All this gear will add boosts to damage, ammo, and life replenishment as well as give access to jet packs and extra health power ups. Health comes in the form of beers you swill when you've no doubt been battered senseless by some machine or other. Different gear has different looks and will be detriment to the aesthetic of your character. Want to wear a tutu, a beer helmet and a jet pack? It's there, just keep blasting robots to unlock a massive wardrobe.

This game plays out with two different level variations. One is the standard shooter affair. Run through a multi-tiered level with branching paths until your reach the boss. The other levels are more of an arena combat situation. You are locked into a sizable map with platforms and explosive traps you can use at your leisure. A set amount of waves must be completed to move on to the next stage. After the last wave is done you can compete in bonus waves until those are satisfied or you die. Dying in these bonus stages will not hinder progress through the story arch, they seem to just be there for extra bolt collecting goodness.

The game play in Shoot Many Robots works well enough. Sometimes jumping is a little wonky and aiming is not as fine tuned as you wish it could be at parts. I had fun with my romp through a world gone mad with killer robots. With lots of different robots to shoot and an almost RPG amount of weapons and gear this title can bring lots of fun in small play sessions. Grab a buddy or three for this game, the more players means more carnage. If you like old school shooters or co-op with pals and beers this game is right up your alley.

I give this game a 7 out of 10. You can get this on Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and Steam.

Happy gaming my friends!
