Next Gen Gaming: Which Console Should You Get?

11/15 marks the release of the Sony Playstation 4, followed a week later on 11/22 by the XBOX ONE.  Gamers have a lot to be excited about with both new consoles.  The burning question is; which console should you get?  Let's explore!

What console do you have currently?  That is the question that will play the biggest role going forward into the new generation.  If you have a PS3, the logical choice would be the PS4 because that is where the exclusives are going to be.  Same for XBOX 360, it makes sense to go with the XBOX ONE.

That's not to say that there won't be some converts though.  If you don't care about exclusives on either system then there will sure be choice for you.  Keep a few things in mind when choosing though.

XBOX ONE

Playstation 4

• PS4 retails for $399 while the XBOX ONE is $499
• PSN costs $50 a year while XBOX LIVE costs $60 a year
• PS4 has exclusives like Little Big Planet, Uncharted, and Gran Turismo
• XBOX ONE has Halo, Gears of War, and Forza as some of it's exclusives
• Both are similar in power, but the edge goes to PS4
• PS4 comes out first

So with those things in mind you can make a choice for which next gen system is right for you.  Either way you go the entertainment is going to be top notch.  Since Microsoft and Sony have developed a fan base it is likely that fans will stay with what they like.  It's pointless to try to argue over what is better, they are both going to be wonderful.
